Ok, I've been majorly slacking lately in the blog area. Sorry! Life's been soooooo busy! Anyways, I read this really good book that I thought I would share with all of you. Ok, seriously probably only two people read this but that's ok! It is called "Created to be his help meet" by Debi Pearl. I highly recommend this to any wife, young or old, it doesn't matter. I had a good marriage before reading this book but it is 500% better now. Debi does a great job of exlaining scripture and why things are suppose to be the way they are suppose to be. She also gives you three categories of men and not only explains how they think, she tells you how certain things that you say or do makes them feel! And why they react the way they do. Great book. Awesome. Life changing! I could totally do a commercial for this book!! Ok, I'm done. So here are just a few fun pictures of the family. Oh, yeah! The book only cost $12.00 if you go to their website http://www.nogreaterjoy.com/ Ok, now I'm really done!!

My word for the year was "grace" I am finding myself using it a lot more now in my marriage. Some things just DON'T Matter, you know? Why do we make such a big deal out of every small thing? Life is so much better when we show grace on a day to day basis. Thank you Jesus for giving us your grace and loving us so much. Help us to extend that to others as willingly as you do to us.

Wow, it's been a long time

Pretty Sceenery

These horses were so funny.

Pretty horse wondering where all the cows were going.
Get back with the herd!

The whole herd. 98 head of cattle.

These white cows wanted to know where we were going, too.

Benjamin

Silly Levi

Lambs we saw on the way.

One of my favorite pics of the whole herd.

Some cows were onery. The wanted to eat that grass!

Getting started.

Herding them out.

Luxie on her 6x6. She owns the cows.

What happens when a semi wants by? Don't worry, the cows will move.
Self portrait! :)

Okay, you know I'm busy when I don't even have the time to post a blog. It has been forever! A lot has happened since my last post. Like for instance, I turned 30 on April 13th! I debated having a pre-midlife crisis but decided against it. It was a great day! Probably my best birthday yet! My husband did a surprisingly wonderful job considering how he has done in the past. Anyways, all in all it was a good day. I don't really feel any different, though. Just sad that my 20's are gone. Those were the best years of my life so far.

And I got to be apart of a one of a kind cattle drive. We took a friend of mine's cattle about 10 miles in about 7 hours. It's amazing what kind of work it is to complete this. We had 3 four wheelers, 1 6x6 and 1 person on horseback. It is perferred to have more people on horseback but it didn't work out that way this time. A horse can go a lot of places that a four wheeler cannot. So, our horseback girl worked hard that day! I hope you enjoy the pics. They are all rear shots because I was in the flasher truck bringing up the rear. The boys were with me and they did great! Especially for being in the truck all day.

Anyways, I will try to update this thing more often. Maybe life will slow down a little but so far it does not look like that's going to happen anytime soon!

Update

When my sister came and picked up Noelle last weekend she got to stay from Friday until Sunday, yeah! I love it when she comes and visits. We watch girly movies and cook yummy food and eat stuff that's not so good for us! I love it! She is so much fun! It's great too because we don't always have to have an agenda, we can just be. She took me out to practice driving her car. It is a stick shift. I have always had a problem with going. Everything else is okay but the getting going. Well, I can do it now! She didn't yell at me when I messed up, either, which was definately a plus! We also went out and.........dundundun.......yes, took pictures! What else would I be doing when I have lovely people to practice on? I posted them at the bottom of the page....well, just a few actually. We have lots more and they are almost all good!

Note for Jamie: I love you and can't wait for you to come back and visit!

A day in the life of..........ME!

This is in response to Christie's blog. I do have to admit, I have a few extra items on my list today. I needed to get ready for a trip to Bend tomorrow morning and I will be having Ladies Bible Study tomorrow night so I did 2 days worth of house cleaning today. Tomorrow morning is going to be here before I know it so I need to hurry up and get to bed. Anyways this is a list of everything I did today. I amazed myself!

4:30 am-Sam is crying, ear ache I think. I got up, changed his diaper, gave him Tylenol and sat in a recliner with him and blanky.

5:00am- Sam finally fell asleep. I dozed off and on for the next 2 hours

7:30am- Everyone else wakes up-I'm not ready but here goes the day.

Lay on the couch while everyone else eats breakfast.
Get a cup of tea and listen to Norman explain the sermon on Sunday-I didn't get to hear it because I was with the kids.
Change Sam's poopy diaper.
Give Sam more Tylenol.
Put Sam in highchair with a Biter Biscuit.
Clean up kitchen.
Do a load of laundry.
Vacuum.
Put sam down for a nap-he was being very cranky.
Sat down and organized tomorrows trip to town and what I needed to complete today.
Got in the shower-11:30am!!! I hear ya Christie!!
Made Levi and Ben lunch.
Ate my own lunch.
Went online-checked email, myspace and blogs.
decided on what soup to make for church tonight.
Found Thomas track for the boys.
Readied Bible Study for tomorrow.
Made reminder calls for Bible Study.
Home schooled the boys.
Another load of laundry-I will have to fold all this at some point!
Talked to sister on phone.
Got Sam up from nap.
Fed Sam lunch.
Dressed Sam.
Went to the store.
Fed chickens, duck and cats-sorry it was so late guys!
Swept kitchen floor.
Gave boys wet washclothes to "mop" the kitchen floor for me. One of my shortcuts when I am short on time.
Sat down and enjoyed a big glass of Dr. Pepper.....Hey! I deserve it! Have you seen all I've done today? And it's not over yet!
Folded clothes:):) See, told ya!
Set out boys' clothes for morning.
Put folded clothes away.
Big headache coming-3 Tylenol with a big glass of water.
Did a load of dishes.
Another load of laundry.
Made dinner for church....mmmmm shepard's pie.
Sat down with Sam for a few minutes.
Changed Sam's diaper.
Got Sam ready for church.
Got me ready for church.
Got everybody loaded up and went to Wednesday Night Bible Study.
Now I am home, typing this up and then going to bed. My day will start at 4:00am tomorrow. Not looking forward to that!

Thanks Christie, this was fun!

Noelle Violet Grace

Aunt Becky's little diva!
So I realized something tonight. Even though I check my friend's blogspots daily, I have not been keeping up on my blogging. I am sooo bad! So, I am going to try and get better! Life has been so hectic lately. Sometimes I need to remind myself to stop and breathe! I am really excited because my sister brought my niece over and she gets to stay here for a week. I know, big deal, right? Well, I am the only girl in a house with four boys! I get to be girly with my niece, Noelle, for a whole week! I get to do her hair, dress her in PINK, listen to her little girl giggle, take pictures of her, and live life as if she never moved away. I think this is going to be the best week that I have had in a long time. Granted, I love my boys. They are so much fun! But every so often I need my girly Noelle fix! I love you Noelle Violet Grace Reed!

God Amazes Me!

The boys and I went driving around a few days ago to get some snow pictures. I was praying and asking God to give me something beautiful that I could take pictures of. He amazes me every time. Here are a few of the shots I got.
The first picture is from my porch. The second picture is snow falling off the branches at our house. The third picture is the John Day River. The fourth & fifth pictures were God's surprise for me. I came upon a field full of about 300 geese. It was like they were posing just for me! The fourth pic is of them in the field and the fifth pic is of them flying away. They flew away in groups so I got several taking off and flying shots. Thank you God for the wonderful day!

My Linda Lou

This blog is totally dedicated to my best friend Linda Lou. I am her Becky Lou. Sounds silly, I know but it works for us! I have known Linda since I was about 13 or 14 years old. She is older than me and helped out with our Youth Group Drama Team. She would have sleepovers for the girls and she was totally awesome! I mean, she was cooooool! She was an adult yet she had fun with us like she was one of us. We have been inseperable every since. Even though 5 years ago I moved away from her, everytime we talk or see eachother it is like I never left. She has been my scrapbooking inspiration sooooo many times! She is the one that got me into it. My husband probably wishes she didn't! We are designing my scrapbook table for the new office right now :):) Without her on my wedding day, it wouldn't have been THE BEST DAY OF MY ENTIRE LIFE! She co-cordinated it with another good friend, Sheila, and the did an awesome job! There were a few things that went wrong but I never knew about them until we got back from our honeymoon! Anyways, I could go on and on and on and on.......but I don't have that kind of time! I think the thing that inspires me the most about my Linda Lou is her stregth in the face of adversity. She has had sooooooo many hard things happen in her life in just the past year but somehow she finds the strength to carry on. Actually I know how she does it. I can picture her holding the hand of Jesus as he walks her through the trials. Another thing that I totally love about her is that I can always call her and be genuinly me. I can just be myself and she is ok with it. That is a big thing for me right now. Anyway, I love her very much and don't know what I would do without her! I love you and miss you Linda Lou! :)
