Cinnamin rolls

I did not pick this picture because my dad is frowning....I picked it because I think it is so funny that both him and Ami are frowning at the same time!! Love you Papa!

So yesterday I attempted to make cinnamin rolls for the first time. I have never attempted this before because my dad makes THE BEST cinnamin rolls ever and I really wanted him to teach me. But I really craved cinnamin rolls so I went at it yesterday. The downer was he wasn't at home to consult so they did not have enough goo on them. :( So I took them to church and gave them away and tried again today. This time I was able to talk to my dad before making them. With a little alteration they turned out FABULOUS! Thanks dad! You're the best! Even if cinnamin rolls aren't all that good for me! ;)

A shower would be nice!

Wow, I have really been neglecting this blogging thing! I come on here every day to check out my dear friends' lives but I have been neglecting to write about mine. Probably because for one it is boring and for two I really don't have the time! But, luckily or unluckily for you....right now I have more than enough time on my hands. Here's the story....

I have been in Redmond since monday, mostly in the hospital. Now, hold your britches...I'm not the one IN the hospital but I have BEEN here for several days. A friend of mine had cancer in her kidney and it was enlarged to the size of a grapefruit so needless to say they decided to take it out. That was Tuesday morning. My whole family came over for it so we had a motel for monday and tuesday night. Her husband had work to do after that so he went home on Wednesday and I have been staying in the hospital with her since. The couch makes in to a surprisingly comfy bed! Anyways, someone has to be here with her to make sure she is being taken care of. It has actually been a really good thing because they had to take out part of a rib and she has COPD so it hurts when she coughs. It is hard enough to get a nurse in here to take care of not so urgent things so it helps that I'm here to hold the pillow up to her ribs so it doesn't hurt so much when she coughs.

The only bummer is that I wasn't expecting to stay here with her so I'm out of clean clothes and haven't had a shower since Wednesday morning. I probably stink really bad and everyone doesn't want to say anything and make me feel bad. Of course there is a shower in the bathroom here but why would I do that and then put on dirty clothes?? Oh well, we will figure out something, I'm sure! Hopefully she will get to go home in the next day or so, that will solve the problem.

Other than that my life has just been the normal same old stuff. My sister will be having her baby the 2nd of March so I'm looking forward to that and my daughter will be having her baby sometime in March. Fun fun!!

I do have to say that I am missing my boys. Even though it has been a nice breather being here, I miss the little stuff. I miss Sammy shooting me kisses and saying " I love you more than chocluc" and "to the moon and back!" I miss Benjamin needing "just ONE more hug and kiss!" And I miss Levi asking for "His morning snuggles" and I miss my husbands SHMILY's.

Ok, I think I have babbled enough for now!

Yes, it's been a long time....again!

Sorry guys, with birthdays and Thanksgiving and upcoming holidays I have been so busy! Ben's bday was in Sept and then Levi's in Oct followed by Sara's in Nov and then Thanksgiving. In between there we had a family reunion, a trip to the coast and many trips to town. (town is at least 2 1/2 hours away depending on which "town" we got to.) And now Sam's bday is coming tomorrow and I really should be deciding what kind of cake I will be making instead of playing on here! Oh the guilt! Ok, I'm over it. So, I have many picture memories to share with you but not enough time to let them download. After Sam's bday I promise to get some posted. I love and miss everyone! Have safe and happy holidays! Remember that all this is about Jesus and what He did for us!

Finally! We got to visit home!

The boys and I took a cross state trip this last week to the Coast! It had been over 2 years since I had been there and Sam had not gotten to experience sand ever! So, through some major convincing of my husband and a wonderful friend who let us stay with them, we got to go. Norman did not get to come and it would have been more fun with him, but we still had fun!

Well, I was going to post some pictures but I am having some difficulties doing that! The weather was typical October weather for the coast but we ventured out to the beach anyways. Sam loved it. He was going 150 miles per hour the whole time! I'm sure he was wondering why I had never brought him to this big huge playground before! Levi found a whole sand dollar, very cool! I don't think I have ever found a whole perfect one before! Benjamin was so funny! He was in shorts but that did not stop him from venturing into the water! And then I couldn't keep him out! The looks on their faces the first time the waves came in farther than before was so funny! I think they were in shock! So I yelled "Run! Run!" and all three of them started running back in. Then it was a game. Sam was so cute! He ran from those waves as if his life depended on it! All in all we had a great trip. We stayed with a friend that I had lost contact with and it was fun getting to know her family. I don't think she will ever get rid of us now! So it was too cold so I did not get to feel the sand between my toes but I did get to let the salt air blow on my face and I had an awesome time watching my boys enjoy the beach, my home. No matter how long I am away, it will always be my home. Funny how the ocean does that to you.
